ALLIANCE Program: Support for LGBTQ+
Coming out wasn’t easy, and neither is struggling with mental health or addiction. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, you may face unique challenges at home, at work, and even internally. If you are also facing issues with a mental health disorder or substance use, you want treatment from a team that understands where you’re coming from.
The ALLIANCE Program is a dedicated inpatient program based on the pioneering Project AFFIRM methods created by Dr. Shelley Craig from the University of Toronto. Here, you will be treated by compassionate clinicians who are either members or allies of the LGBTQ+ community, which will aid in your recovery. Your team will include regulated mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists and counsellors, and doctors certified to prescribe addiction medications on-site, as needed.
