Meet the Team at EHN Guardians Rockies

Giving patients the best care during their addiction recovery.

Our philosophy of care involves equal parts expertise and empathy. Every member of our interprofessional team was handpicked for their experience and commitment to excellent care.

Jaime Jenkins

Clinical Director, BSW, MAPP, MSc

Jaime Jenkins brings over 20 years of experience in mental health, addiction, and systems-level change to her role as Clinical Director at EHN Guardians Rockies. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work, a Master of Applied Positive Psychology, and a Master of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health. Jaime’s leadership is grounded in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and a commitment to whole-person healing. In addition to her clinical and academic expertise, Jaime is active in international and community-based initiatives. She serves on the Mayor’s Task Force on Homelessness, Safety, and Community Well-being in Cranbrook, BC and supports global healing through her work with Make Music Matter. Her diverse experience—from rural British Columbia to South Africa, the Congo, and Australia—shapes her belief that recovery ecosystems must be relational, inclusive, and regenerative by design.

Ronald Lirette

Executive Director

Ron Lirette is an experienced healthcare executive with over 25 years of leadership in mental health, addictions, primary care, and palliative care services. As Executive Director at EHN Edgewood Rockies, Ron brings a strategic, person-centered approach to program development, operational oversight, and stakeholder engagement. His career spans executive roles at organizations including Pacifica Treatment Centre Society, Dorothy Ley Hospice, and the Ontario Ministry of Health, with a focus on evidence-based care, system transformation, and community collaboration. Ron holds healthcare and system design leadership certifications from the Rotman School of Management and is known for driving sustainable growth through innovative and compassionate service models.

Dr. Andre Duguay, MD

Physician

After practicing for several years, wanting to expand his medical knowledge, he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences, followed by a Medical Degree through the University of Alberta. Andre conducted his residency training through the University of Calgary, in the Rural Family Medicine Program. Since arriving in Cranbrook, he has developed an interest in addictions medicine. He obtained his methadone prescribing license and is a member of the Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine. In addition to conventional medicine, Andre is pleased to offer Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments as well. He is very passionate and excited about being part of the life-changing program at EHN Edgewood Rockies, and assisting in the recovery of the clients.

Dr. Tim Ayas

Psychiatrist

Dr. Tim Ayas is a Clinical Associate Professor with the University of Calgary Department of Psychiatry. He has a number of educational and administrative roles as well as a busy clinical practice; but his passion is teaching students, residents, psychiatrists, family physicians, and multidisciplinary teams across Canada and internationally. Dr. Ayas serves on the executive board for the Department of Psychiatry as the Section Chief responsible for Addictions, Rural Psychiatry, and the Claresholm Centre for Mental Health and Addictions. He recently stepped down as Clerkship Director of Psychiatry at the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine. He primarily works at the Claresholm Centre and Edgewood Health Networks as a psychiatrist with a focus on addictions and concurrent disorders. He has provided expert consultation for a number of organizations including Calgary City Hall, Global Television, CTV, CBC National Radio, and the House of Commons. He is the proud recipient of the 2021 Canadian Organization of Undergraduate Psychiatric Educators COUPE national teaching award recognized at the annual Canadian Psychiatric Association Scientific Conference.
