A Unique Facility for Unique Workers
At EHN Guardians Gateway, we understand the challenging work conditions of active service members, veterans, first responders, and healthcare providers – and, in turn, the struggles they may face with trauma, alcohol or drug addiction, or concurrent mental health disorders.
EHN Guardians Gateway provides the opportunity to recover while being immersed in a community of people who have shared similar experiences. Here, the healing begins through both individual therapy sessions, as well as group sessions alongside people who truly understand and offer further support.

The Space to Heal
Spread across 14 acres of forest near tranquil Peterborough, EHN Guardians Gateway provides a serene, inviting environment needed to truly focus on treatment. Clients are also afforded autonomy as they navigate their recovery journeys. And since recovery is also about physical health, we provide both indoor and outdoor activities, including hot yoga, morning walks, golf, wood carving and more.

A Tradition of Innovative Treatment Programs
While EHN Guardians Gateway is a relatively new facility, it is firmly rooted in EHN Canada’s tradition of holistic treatment. That means that we treat not only substance use, but any underlying trauma and mental health conditions that may contribute to it. Our staff are passionate about helping military service members, veterans, first responders, and healthcare providers, and our clients think of them more as partners in recovery, rather than authority figures. We are also Accreditation Canada certified.

Endorsed by the IAFF
One of the groups we focus on is firefighters. EHN Canada is exclusively endorsed by The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) as the preferred rehab treatment provider for Canadian IAFF members. Members are given priority admissions to our existing Military, Veteran and First Responder programs at EHN Guardians Gateway. Our highly specialized clinical team is dedicated to providing evidence-based treatments to our patients.
