OHIP Covered Services

Bellwood offers subsidized programming with coverage provided by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care to offer comprehensive care to our patients. Subsidized services are available to those who are Ontario residents with valid OHIP cards. Those seeking subsidized services who are not Ontario residents may be able to do so with the assistance of their provincial health care plan. Bellwood offers both partial and full subsidies for treatment programs.

All programs at Bellwood require individuals to be 18 years of age or older. Eligibility for specific programs can be determined by our Admissions team who are available from 8AM to 7PM Eastern Standard Time, 7 days a week.

Medical detox is available to individuals seeking full treatment at our facility. The Ministry does not fund medical detox to those not exploring full treatment.

Safety precautions against COVID-19

COVID-19 should not prevent someone from being able to receive life-saving addiction and mental health treatment. Rest assured that we are taking every step possible to protect our current patient population from contracting the infection.

Our facilities have policies and protocols in place to protect patients, including screening new patients, limiting visitors, and moving aftercare groups to online meetings.

Continue to our action plan to see what we are doing to protect our patients from COVID-19.
