Evidence-based treatment and Nature-based healing

Our holistic addiction treatment programs are thoughtfully designed to provide stability and support to those facing dual diagnoses of addiction and mental health disorders, while helping them build a solid foundation for sobriety.

In addition, we also help our patients understand substance abuse, why they became addicted in the first place, and what will be required to maintain recovery going forward. We guide and empower our patients as they discover their own meaning and purpose in a sober life.

Patients who come to EHN Edgewood Rockies for help will also benefit becoming a part of a community fully committed to long-term recovery. Our medical team – including doctors, nurses, and counsellors – provide the care and guidance needed to help break free from addiction. Patients will also get the essential mental health support they need, addressing other challenges like depression and anxiety. Through evidence-based treatment, patients will develop the skills and habits to not only achieve, but maintain, recovery for life. Plus, program peers will offer empathy, encouragement, and support, as alumni embark on their lifelong journey, both during and outside of sessions.

Morning

Upon waking up, you’ll have some free time to practice the recovery skills you’ve been working on. After enjoying a healthy, freshly-prepared breakfast, you’ll take a walk on our verdant grounds, then set your intentions for the day. You’ll attend an inspiring lecture from others in the recovery community. Then, you’ll cap off the morning with one-on-one counselling or by participating in a self-assessment group, in which you’ll review your goals and progress with your counsellor and peers.

Afternoon

You’ll shift gears with a hearty lunch. Then, you’ll take a walk, visit our gym, or attend a group recreation class – like circuit training, yoga, or somatic movement. Next, you’ll participate in a skills group, in which you’ll practice DBT, boundary setting, and gratitude. Depending on where you are in your program, you may also work on relapse prevention skills. Afterwards, you’ll have time for peer interaction.

Evening

Dinner is a social affair at EHN Edgewood Rockies. You’ll digest by taking an evening walk. Then, you’ll attend an AA, NA, or SMART Recovery meeting to receive empathy and support from others in the community.
