Province reveals location for 50-bed addiction treatment centre

EHN Canada is proud to partner with the Government of New Brunswick on the development of a new 50-bed therapeutic addiction treatment facility in Carters Point.

This centre will significantly expand access to evidence-based residential treatment in a province where demand has far outpaced capacity. Many New Brunswickers currently wait months for a live-in treatment bed. This facility will help change that by doubling adult treatment capacity and supporting more than 100 people each year on their recovery journey.

Grounded in a therapeutic community model, the centre will offer structured, long-term, evidence-based care in a safe, bilingual, and culturally inclusive environment. Residents will access counselling, life-skills development, medical support, and a full continuum of care that extends well beyond discharge.

EHN Canada remains committed to ensuring New Brunswickers can receive high-quality, person-centred treatment without financial barriers. Under this partnership, services will be fully funded by the province and integrated within the public system. This is a meaningful step forward for addiction care in New Brunswick.
