With Lindsey Snaychuk, Manager, National Research & Measurement-Based Care & Geoff Ingram, Coordinator, National Research & Measurement-Based Care
As healthcare systems increasingly prioritize evidence-based practices and quality improvement, measurement-based care (MBC) has emerged as a valuable approach in addiction and mental health treatment. MBC involves the routine collection and use of patient-reported outcome measures to guide clinical decisions, monitor progress, and tailor interventions in real time. Despite its demonstrated benefits, many providers and organizations encounter challenges when attempting to implement MBC in everyday practice.
This webinar will introduce participants to the principles of measurement-based care and its growing role in addiction and mental health services. Attendees will learn how the regular use of patient feedback can enhance clinical outcomes, improve therapeutic alliances, and support recovery-oriented care. The session will also explore common barriers to implementing MBC, such as workflow disruptions, lack of understanding, and concerns about increased workload. Finally, practical solutions to these challenges will be presented, providing participants with actionable strategies to successfully integrate measurement-based care into their clinical environments.
