Suicide ideation, often called suicidal thoughts or ideas, is a broad term used to describe a range of contemplations, wishes, and preoccupations with death and suicide. Suicide impacts people of all ages and backgrounds in Canada. According to Stats Canada, every year, approximately 4,500 people in Canada die by suicide, which is the equivalent to 12 people dying by suicide every day. For every person lost to suicide, many more experience thoughts of suicide or suicide attempts.  Join Ryan Slobodian, Registered Clinical Counsellor at Edgewood Treatment Centre, on Thursday, February 23 between 12-1pm EST as he further discusses the causes and major warning signs of suicide ideation.
