Dr. Warren Shepell is a pioneer and father of Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) in Canada. He made mental health counselling accessible and at no cost to millions of Canadians through their workplaces and created career opportunities for thousands of counselors. While he has counselled several thousands of clients himself, through his EAP firm, he and his counselors have helped over five million clients over the years with their personal and emotional issues.

At an organizational level, Dr. Shepell has brought wisdom and years of experience to many areas in well-being, communications, sales, marketing and PR as it relates to mental health and wellness. In addition, he has consulted in many diverse areas of HR including leadership, management, training, harassment & bullying prevention and many more. He has worked as an advisor to large organizations like the HRPA, CIBC, and Stevenson and Kellogg to name a few.

Dr. Shepell graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a PhD in Counseling and Clinical Psychology. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Waterloo; and a BA majoring in Psychology from the University of Manitoba.
