LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Recognize suicide is preventable and identify suicide prevention strategies. 
  • Identify suicide risk assessment as a process and identify core principles for assessing risk. 
  • Understand the who, why, what, when and where of suicide risk management, and developing safety plans. 
  • Recognize the importance of self-care and explore coping strategies for the clinician.
