With Ben Borger, Clinical Manager at Red Deer Recovery Community

Canada has a long history of underfunding and stigmatizing not only recovery efforts, but the people in recovery, as well. The concept of Recovery Capital has emerged in studies and discussions of the addiction recovery process, and as a potential metric and marker for recovery gains. Although conceptual and applied development of the concept in the 20-years since the term was coined has increased, there remains insufficient clarity of key domains, factors and best practice research and applications for populations experiencing addiction. Join us Thursday, October 5 between 12-1pm EST as Ben guides us through a presentation outlining how to measure recovery capital.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Define recovery capital and how it can be measured
  • Discover the origin of recovery capital and why we use it today
  • Discuss how professionals can facilitate recovery capital for their clients

Date: October 5, 2023 – 12pm ET, 9am PT

Duration: 1-hour (45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A)

Cost: COMPLIMENTARY
