Lara completed her MSc in Occupational Therapy (OT) from the University of Alberta in 2020 after years of working in psychology and arts. She has always been intrigued by how we find and make meaning in our lives – which includes the seemingly small happenings of each day as much as the big decisions and changes. As an OT with experience in neurological rehabilitation and addictions, she is fascinated by how the neurological bases of mental health intersect with day-to-day lived experiences. A driving personal philosophy comes from a favourite childhood book, where we are asked: “what can I do to make the world a more beautiful place?” Lara strives to do this through practices of gratitude, laughter, lifelong learning, and helping others.
