When depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or other mood-related concerns begin affecting everyday life, it can feel overwhelming. This is true for both the person experiencing these challenges, and for the family and loved ones trying to help.

Many people delay seeking treatment because they hope things will improve on their own. But when symptoms continue, waiting can make recovery more difficult and prolong the impact these conditions have on daily life. With the right treatment and support, people can begin feeling better sooner and take steps toward a healthier future.

At EHN Bellwood Toronto, our seven-week inpatient mood, depression and anxiety treatment program provides evidence-based, personalized care in a safe and supportive environment. Through our experienced medical team and personalized treatment, we help people rediscover hope, rebuild confidence, and move toward lasting recovery.

How Our Mood and Anxiety Program Supports Recovery

Effective treatment addresses symptoms and helps people better understand what they are experiencing, develop practical ways to manage difficult thoughts and emotions, and feel more prepared for everyday life. For families, treatment can also provide greater clarity about what their loved one is going through, how they can offer meaningful support, and what recovery may look like after treatment.

Our inpatient mood, depression and anxiety treatment program at EHN Bellwood Toronto combines evidence-based therapies, psychiatric care, and personalized treatment planning to address the underlying causes of mental health challenges.

Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual and may include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for developing healthy behaviours and helpful thought patterns
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to manage emotions and relationships, implement mindfulness practices, and cope with crises
  • One-on-one psychotherapy provides an understanding and safe space for discussing personal recovery concerns and developing recovery objectives
  • Physical health support including regular exercise and nutritional guidance to heal the body in addition to the mind
  • Psychoeducational sessions to learn about a variety of mental health topics
  • Mindfulness training to create healthy habits that last
  • Mental health maintenance planning to identify relapse warning signs and develop strategies to support long-term recovery
  • Medication-assisted therapy, if needed, to provide the best opportunity for healing
